I have been a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the NHS at Birmingham Heartlands and Solihull Hospitals, West Midlands since October 1995.  I am also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Birmingham University.  I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Surgery and Trauma and Orthopaedics.  I am also a member of Birmingham Medico Legal Society.   

I am a member of the UK register of expert witnesses and also an accredited member of expert witnesses. As a Consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon I manage victims of road traffic accidents, accidents at the workplace and patients with musculo skeletal injuries due to a variety of other causes. I can help the court in assessing the effects outcome and prognosis of these injuries. I also have a special interest in sports injuries and total joint replacement. I can help the court in medical negligence issues. 

I take a very keen interest in the new developments in the medico legal field.  On 26th April 1999 on the implication of Woolfe Reforms the English Law has it’s biggest changes in this century.  The role of the expert witness has changed completely.  I am very keen to update my knowledge.  I always keep abreast with modern development in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery and also in Medico Legal Practice.  I regularly attend various instructional courses, meetings and conferences to update my knowledge about the development in the medico legal field.  In the last few years I have attended the following Medico Legal conferences.

  1. Clients interviewed and examined within two weeks of receiving the instructions provided all the necessary documentation accompany the instruction letter.
  2. Produce an unbiased comprehensive medical report within two weeks of interviewing and examining the client.
  3. Able to answer any questions raised under section 35 of the Civil Procedure Act.
  4. Fully aware and converse with the legal process.  Has attended various conferences with barristers and solicitors.
  5. Has produced joint reports involving other experts.
  6. Has attended the Court as an expert witness.
